To be inducted in 2025 To be the best, you’ve got to beat the best, and he did, defeating the reigning belt-holder and earning the state championship in the discus as a senior in an all-state track and field campaign. He was a key member of the 2002 basketball team as a junior, manning the paint all the way through a perfect regular season to the quarterfinals. His track and field exploits at BHS, which included setting a school shot put record that still stood at the time of his induction, led him to compete nationally at Albion College, placing seventh in the NCAA Div. 3 nationals.
