Jake Oard

Baseball

To be inducted in 2025

The epitome of a do-it-all performer and seen by many as the greatest hitter on the team that reached baseball’s final four in consecutive seasons reaching the State Title game in 2007, he earned all-state honors both years as a multi-position, all-around threat. On the gridiron, his performance playing multiple positions led to all-conference and all-area honors, and an all-conference player on the ice as well as the team's top goal scorer in the NMHL in back-to-back seasons. He capped his athletic career as a four-year starter and all-conference outfielder at Northwood University.

Jake Oard Brag Board

Congratulations Jake on your induction into the Beaverton Sports Hall of Fame. Jake was the spark plug for our team. He was a lead off batter with a great eye, speed, power and a cannon for an arm behind the plate. When Jake got on, he usually stole second and we almost always scored him from there.

In 2007 on our run to the state finals, Jake was our starting catcher. He was moved to center field the following year as this was where he would be playing in college. Nothing got by him!!

Jake was a quiet leader who led by example. His play was instrumental in our runs to the state finals and semi-finals. Jake had a solo home run in 2007 in the regional finals that we won 1-0. He also jacked a 3-run homer in the finals. Jake went on to have a great college career in baseball. I am so proud of him and the role that he played in our teams success. Congratulations Jake!
