(BEAVERTON) – With Hall of Fame night approaching on Feb. 1, the Beaverton Rural Schools Athletic Hall of Fame has announced its 2019 class of inductees.
Entries this year are BHS football standout John Bair, a distinguished playmaker on the field and unmatched leader in the area of youth football in Beaverton, and the 1988 BHS Girls Track Team, a standout squad of student athletes that attained all-state team and individual honors.
Enshrinement will take place at halftime of the varsity boys’ basketball game on Feb. 1. A public reception will be held in the BHS cafeteria beginning at 6 p.m. for honorees, their families and any well-wishers who would like to attend. Existing members of the Hall in particular are encouraged to take part.
The Beaverton Hall of Fame was established by a group of community volunteers in an effort to recognize outstanding student athletes and friends of the game who have had significant Beaverton athletic careers or who have contributed significantly over a lengthy period of time to Beaverton athletics. Biographies, statistics and photos for all members of the Hall of Fame are available at www.beavertonhalloffame.com.
